Pannikin's Caravan!

Surprise! You can now find a select range of Pannikin goodies on ethical design website Blue Caravan!
Their website introduces itself as:

"Bluecaravan supports and promotes direct trade. We support ethical production both locally and overseas. We love fairtrade and sweat-free certification. We believe that objects ‘warmed’ by designers, artists and artisans have a quality like no other… and that ‘ethical’ is no longer a choice separated from style and design.

Bluecaravan is a venue for buyers and sellers of all things independently designed and ethically made. It’s about lovely, interesting and edgy products - beautifully finished, made with heart, and bought directly from the designer/maker."

Etsy News!

Morning folks!
Did you know that you can now view Etsy in Australian dollars? Pretty neat, huh?

I have a teeny issue with this though. It makes my prices go all higgledy-piggledy! What I mean by that is, the prices listed in $AUD aren't the true set price until you check out with Paypal. They are simply well-calculated approximations. BUT! When you check out with Paypal, you are still paying in $USD. Hmm.

For me, personally, I am going to continue shopping on Etsy with the prices set in $USD. It seems to being the easiest, smoothest way. Plus, I have a thing for well rounded numbers (no cents, please!)
If all of this currency conversion hoo-haa is bothersome for you, why don't you pop on over to my shop at MadeIt.com.au? All items listed are all set in Australian dollars and the best part is you will be supporting Australian handmade! Yayy!

Super Bazaar

Do you remember hearing about the Enoggera Terrace Bazaar presented by Cheap Frills a few months back? (This was around December last year - I may even forgot to blog about it here, but you can see the post on my personal blog here.)
Anyway, the next bazaar is being held this coming weekend on Saturday 6th March from 6:30pm - 9:30pm and will only cost you a teensy $5 entry, which not only gives you the chance to paw through the rails and racks of gorgeous vintage and retro clothes (not to mention a whole wodge of accessories and other doodads) but it also gets a complimentary glass of champagne in your hot little hands.

My tip is an obvious one - get in early and you will have the chance to bag the best buys. Don't let that put you off though - last time I attended I was still running around towards the end of the night, trying on clothes and shoes with the enthusiasm of a kid who had ingested too much red food colouring.

Oh and may I also mention that I will most likely be having a stall there again this time around? How fun! Please come and say hello. I am currently making a few cardboard gift boxes for it, yet I cannot decide what for. At first I was considering using them for those who purchase an animal pendant necklace, as they do not come packaged when I hold a market stall. Another idea I had in mind was to create a 'lucky dip' style package with a range of prices, but for lower than what you would pay for the contents.

If you had any ideas for the boxes or would like to vote for one of the current uses mentioned above, it would be greatly appreciated. After all, it's fun to make things for you guys! I'll upload a photo of the boxes as soon as I can.

PS. I do apologise for having the same blog post on both blogs - at the moment I am a little time poor and am super busy trying to create heaps of fun things for the bazaar and all the other preparing that goes into running a stall. I do hope you can come along!

All In A Twitter

Yes, Pannikin has finally succumbed and joined Twitter. Follow me to stay in the loop, up to date and in the know about all the goings on of the label. Not to mention the possibility of sweet deals and discounts.

Click here to read my tweets.

Also, would anyone be interested in subscribing to a Pannikin mailing list, with weekly emails filling you in on what new products are in store, sneak-peeks, discounts, freebies and more?

If yes, then please leave a comment below - there is no need to supply your email as I am only seeing if this is something people would like to be a part of before going about setting it up.

Anyway, thanks very much for reading; I am off to create more badges as my parts arrived in the mail yesterday and I am absolutely itching to create more! (In fact, I was so excited I stayed up until 1am this morning cutting and punching out new designs, so check back in my Etsy shop soon for new pieces!)

Have a lovely weekend and Happy Valentine's Day!
